Lunch with Syrian refugees in Oosterwolde (Netherlands)

BRF Oosterwolde invited a group of Syrian refugees to the plant as part of their integration into Dutch society. After an introduction to our company they had a factory tour, accompanied by our colleagues from whom they received a full explanation of the way we produce our products in the Netherlands.

Partnership with Caritas in Vienna (Austria)

Once more in partnership with Caritas, Vienna office helped to build beds, wardrobes, chairs, benches, tables and study desks in the new home for refugees and young students in the city. The team was really welcomed by the people who were already living there and integration happened naturally.

Results

The strategy and management of the actions, projects and programs of the BRF Institute are coordinated by the Social Investment Committees from BRF’s business units. In 2017 the Committees were formed by 320 employees from different areas of the company and its activities benefited mover 355,000 people in Brazil and around the world.

BRF Institute is responsilble for BRF's corporate social responsibility, community relations and social investment. Our strategy and activities are coordinated by BRF Institute's team, a corporate work group and the Social Investment Committees, groups that are formed by companies' employees at production plants, administrative offices and distribution centers to lead our contribution towards the society.
